I need to rebuild my carb. How can I identify what kit to buy. I can't find a tag. A 63 with F134.

Should be a Carter YF if stock. Could also be a solex or possibly a weber if modified. Post a picture if you can.

If it's stock year and model should suffice at the local FLAPS.

Kamel (I think?) sez this is the place to get the best rebuild kits, most of 'em are crap. http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/

There should be a web on the side of the YF body above the throttle linkage that says "938SA", or SB, SC, SD.

x2 on the carb kits from your FLAPS being crap. Well, maybe not crap, but having the incorrect parts in them for a Jeep carb. The problem is that the Carter YF was used on so many different engines and makes of vehicles that it is virtually impossible to make one kit that will fit all carbs in all installations and still run well.

Check the carburetor shop and tell them what your carb and engine are. They'll hook you up wit the right stuff at a reasonable price. Either that, or plunk a Solex on it and forget about it! ;)
