t-98 in a V-6 application

I'm in the process of obtaining a t-98 from a FC-170. Has anyone ever had any experience adapting the T-98 into a V-6 application?

I have the top shifter for the t-98, so that isn't a problem, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever done this installation.

sure you wouldn't rather find a SM420 or SM465 and save that T98 for a L or F head? I assume that its coming off a f head? You'd still need an adapter to the transfer case for either of the GM's but it'd bolt to the GM bell housing.

No, it is coming from a L head six cylinder engine. That has the larger input shaft that won't fit in an F head.

I also believe that it is attached to a Dana 20 transfer case - not sure until I get the FC-170 home.

I believe it has the 1 inch adapter on it -- don't know yet, I'm buying the whole FC-170 and am parting it out.

The FC-170 is in bad shape, so there won't be too many parts that can be taken off of it.
