sorry 1955 CJ5. hi everyone, as some of you know my jeep is yet to be started for the first time (after sitting for 12 some-odd years) so after a tune up, will see what im really into! my questions are:

    what is the point gap?
what is the spark plug gap?

the dude said its all .030, but that seems too big for a 6v system.

and what is the best manual for my jeep, 1955 CJ5? (all orignal) someone said the jeep rebuilders guide manual with the blue jeep, but i forgot what the title of the book was. thanks and i will keep you up dated!

Josh, the spark plug gap is the space between the inner and outer electrodes at the tip of the plug. When the plugs are properly gapped, the wire or feeler gauge should slide between the electrodes with a slight drag.

Some one will correct me if I’m wrong: Spark plug gap .030 / Point gap .020
