I wanted to install the springs last night but ran into an issue with the bushings being too small of an inside diameter (.713) to except the bolt. I tried a small hone that works well for wheel cylinders but it was too big (3/4 or over) so I guess it’s to the machine shop.

Having bought 6 loose bushing and two rear shackles with bushing pressed in specifically for the truck I would have thought they fit well.

I ran into this problem too. I ordered new shackles to replace my old "C'' type ones. Came with bolts and nylock nuts. Ordered and rec'd Energy Suspension poly bushing for the leafs and installed them with the supplied bushings. No fit!!! Got another set of bushing to complete the setup as the frame had none now that the C shackles were gone. They were a different brand from my local parts store and they fit.So....... rather than buy new bolts for the shackes I went and bought another set of bushing and replaced the sleeves in the springs as they were the set that didn't fit. Finaaly it all came together. My guess is different manufacturers don' tuse the same specs. PITA

Yes, I’m using brass bushing that need to be honed, shouldn't be, but they do.

If they're bronze or brass you should use a reamer - a hone will fill up.

    Thanks Tim,

I know, I've been putting off buying a set.
