Moving to Pittsburgh no later than Feb. I'm going to try and use the jeep as a daily for a while - one winter. If it sucks then I'm buying a new truck, I'll keep the jeep in a garage and bring her out summertime. But I want to give it one shot. What do I need to do to get this thing ready for hills, winter and elevation? I think I need to attatch a choke to my Rochestor 2G at least. Brrrr...
You guys north of NC I need some advice please!

Nope. Good call. I guess electric would be the smart way to go.

Do NOT install an electric heater. Trust me on this one! I had one in a railroad motorcar once and the damn thing didn't do anything except drag the alternator down. Worse thing I ever did with $89 in my entire life! I would recommend going with one of those Mojaves that I see most guys installing.

You'll definitely want a working choke, as well as a fast idle setup of some kind to facilitate warming up.

    Good luck,
    Don

    Yep, heater and brakes. :D

A manual choke is easy to install. And it allows you to decide how much choke to apply, for how long. :)
