OK, so my current game plan is to attempt to use a Benzo pressure plate with a Jeep clutch disc. According to napaonline.com, the F-head/T90 clutch disc in a CJ3B/early CJ5 is 8.5" in diameter, whereas the clutch disc in a 1982 240D is 215mm in diameter. 215mm=8.46457".

Is that extra .03543" going to be anything to lose sleep over? :?

I'm hoping, and willing to bet, it won't matter. I'm facing the same dimensions with the Nissan swap. Thirty-five thousandths is not much. About the same as the thickness of 12 sheets of paper. Now divide it by two, that's the difference you'll see around the pressure plate.
