Have a 27 closed kunckle front end, 1 side has a bronze bushing where the axle ride other side has nothing also has u-joints in the axle could not find a bearing for for the spindle any thoughts. Going to a macnine shop thisafternoon to see about having new ones made. Also where do you find shims for the kunckle bearing preload. Have to replace the bearings. It didn't feel like they where thight enough.

Wheel bearings? Those aren't uncommon or hard to find. Timkin makes the proper bearing. Just take the bearing with you to a bearing store and match the numbers.

You can probably find shims from someone here. I used to have a package of 'em floating around but lost them. They're available from Walcks, Turner 4WD, etc.

Are you asking about the bushing in the spindle? Closed knuckle 25/27/30/44 front ends have a bushing in the spindle only. The axle tube end has no bearing or bushing for the shaft.

Spindle bushings are available at any of the popular parts dealers.

Also, the king pin shims are available pretty much anywhere you can get the bushings.

Oh, that's why I was confused. As noted above, there's no bearing, just a bronze bushing.

    Parts here.

#16 for the bushing and #25 for the shims.

Krage isn't the only place. Anyone that carries Crown and Omix-Ada parts will have them.
