I went to my local parts dealer today to get a tempeture sending unit for my 65 cj-5 with the 134 in it and he told me that they didnt have one. He said that they didnt make one, well I have a sender in the engine and the guage in the speedo cluster so what gives. Does anyone know the part # for what I need? :? :?

The needle in the guage moves if I ground the wire that connects to the sender so am I safe to assume that the guage is good and the sender is bad?

Before you go too far, use the search function here. It's possible to ruin your existing gauge, if it still works. Replacements are not replicas, either. If FLAPS says they don't have a sender unit, go to NAPA, or do mail order through one of the venors recommended on this board. Do the search thing first; you'll pick up a bunch of info right there!
