Any electricians out there?? My new MIG welder is 220 and has 3 wires I need to put a plug on. They are Blk, Wht and Grn.. I think they need to be wired Green grnd, white and black to the 220 - one each leg. Am I right??
The instructions have totally wrong colors that don't match anything.

You could probably check out the plug on your electric range and see how it's wired.

Actually green or no insulation is always ground, and white or grey is nuetral.
Any other color of the rainbow can be used for hot leads.
Hey at least you got it working ;)
What kinda mig did you get?
I recently picked up a Lincoln Idealarc 275 Mig/stick. Thing is awesome. Now all I gotta do is wire the shop for 100 amp 220
