Well, thanks to McRuff, I now have better night vision!

I had some scrap aluminum around, including one piece of 1" square tubing that had already been bent around, so it was no large leap to add some "feet" and brackets for the light. Structurarly, it's probably only qualified to hold the lights in place, but may very well keep some crap outta the winch out on the trail. The entire premise for mounting was centered around 2 existing holes in the bumper.

I drilled the holes in the angled supports just for looks, and then it was one of the very first things I powder coated. Certainly adds something to the Jeep looks-wise.

I wired it in with a relay right at the battery, and ran an extra wire for when I install my "back-up lights" later on. The back-up lights are some cheapo HF lights I got for $10. I thought that it would be nice to be able to shed some light behind the Jeep if I ever need to out on the trail. Or just to annoy people in the parking lot.

I like how low the winch sits - doesn't cover up too much of the all-important Jeep grille...;)

Yeah, thanks to Jim (Jp2flat) for that bumper. Winch mounts behind the bumper, not on top of a plate coming off the bumper. See this page for a write up on mounting it.
