Well i just picked up a cj3b that i think i might give my dad when i get the cj2a back up! :)
But, the prob right now is to get it running well and as oil leak free as i can! The jeep starts and runs well but has some power loss under driving conditions!
I'm thinking valve adjustment (compression check as well and any head work if needed), timing, tune up with upgrade Protronic's electric Ignition and prob. a carb kit, fuel pump if needed and some new pan/valve cover gaskets (timing cover look not to leak)!

My current investigation of the f-head found it to have a bolt filling the PCV hole (no venting going on) and i have no idea about the vacum line (where/what/how)?

I cant seem to find a good pic or diagram of these systems! I have looked on this site and the cj3b site! Also, a few books on the f head (Chiltons repair manual, Granville King and Willie Worthy THE JEEP BIBLE and JEEP CJ REBUILDER’S MANUAL 1946 TO 1971) with out luck! I'm lacking vision!:?

Well when all is said and done I really need a pic of a PCV system for a 1953 F-head in a cj3b (should be same as early cj5) and where/how to route it right! Also, a vacum line pic where/how to route it right!

:) Any help will be greatly appreciated!:)
    Thanks

    Hi,

Did you ever track down your power loss? I have a 1963 with a 1984 4.3l engine and when running cold, all is fine, but once the engine starts to warm up... I lose power to the point of having pedal to the floor with no change in RPM but constantly dropping in speed.

Was you power problem related to the vacuum?

    Curious to know,

    Douglas..
