Anyone know of a "reasonably priced" source for footman loops? I am looking for what I call the standard size, fits approx 1 inch straps, most commonly used on both sides of the hood/windshield strap & also attached on both 1/4 panels for the rear top bow cinch straps. Have seen some on E bay but they are pricey for what they are.

Yep..it was me. They were ~$.80. They were actually on the gate latch/misc latch isle. You store may vary. Mine stocks 1 1/4" loops (JEEP size I presume) and a few larger sizes.

You should be able to get them from a company that sells parts for Model T Fords, they were used on the open cars. Also upholstery supply companies should have these. ie: Rochford supply inc. www.rochfordsupply.com or gilbreath upholstery supply.

Thanks guys...I'll try the local Home Despot & Lowes.

Just had a "brainstorm" & boy does my head hurt. I googled them & strapworks.com has 3 sizes from $.65 to $1.50. Sometimes (well usually, if the truth be told) I'm such a bonehead. I've stopped in boat stores, hardware stores & the local 4wd shop & the most common response is "What's a footman loop?"

I know for a fact they have these at Tractor Supply Company if you have any in the area. THey are in with the cables, ropes and chains. Lots of different sizes and shapes, footmans for sure.

Any hardware store worth its salt will have them - but only about 20% will know that they do. National Hardware is a vendor a lot of small stores have entire aisles devoted to-they make everything from screen door latched to chain clevis's etc. Call around and see who stocks national stuff - they prob have footman loops.

If you live near the water anyplace that makes or repairs boat tops will have them. I own a tent company and I bought a box of like 200 stainless ones once from one of my suppliers. Problem is I have no idea where I put the box.
