I know this subject has been beat to death but I am desparate. Have we found any place that manufactures the intermediate taillights? Not the crappy 3 inch jobs that every mail order outfit sells, or the recessed ones. The real ones, the round ones with the 4 inch lenses that mount right above the bumper. Again sorry about this quesiton but I NEED THEM!!

Good luck with your search for the taillight cans. When I removed mine they were pretty beat up and rusted, but some work with a dremel tool, wire brushes and paint brought them around. Found the lenses at Peterson Manufacturing but a member also posted they are available at NAPA.

You know you might try working backwards. See what cans the lenses are designed for and see if they might be adaptable. You could even cut out the area that shines down for the license tag. I don't know about the availability of that clear lens. Might be worth a shot !!

I know that's a good idea. I can't believe these are so hard to find. there has to be another application that these taillights were used for.

Look at tractor Supply. I don't know if they are the real thing but man I saw some the other day that my dad was trying to convince me into because they looked extremely close to stock. I think I am going for the recessed look or maybe since I saw them there the smoked out LEDs :D Bling bling baby.

I don't know if this will help but there is a place in cali called J&W auto wreckers and they boast 10 acres of jeeps. I could not find the front turn signals anywhere for my 74'. I called over 30 places and htere was a national backorder on them. I found these guys and they had them used of course, which not one other company had. They shipped them and thye were in great condition. Here is there site, hope it helps, if not, oh well.
