Solex Carb - Vacuum Advance

    I just bought a solex carb for my 1964 cj5 f134. Lining it up against the old carb, i can't figure out the vacuum advance. Does anyone have a picture of a solex carb with the vacuum advance from the distributor hooked up? also, has anyone installed the choke without redirecting it through the a different place in the firewall? if I leave the choke where it is it will have some very tight curves...

    I don't know of a vacuum port on the Solex. I assume you have a YF with a vacuum port on the base? I think I rerouted the choke cable on mine, been a while so don't remember for sure.

    Glenn, thanks for the reply, you are correct, I have the Carter YF with the vacuum port on the bottom. If the Solex doesn't have a vacuum port, what do I do with the vacuum advance?
