   I trying to find out which buick v6 engine is preffered. I understand they have two, od or even fire. I'm putting it in a 54 m38a1

   225s had a heavier flywheel which is more desirable in a Jeep.
   
   231s came both as OF and EF an can be easier to find.
   
   Doesn't matter really IMO. Run what you can find in good shape.
