    Ron,
I think the logistics involved in getting that motor here are going to be too much. Have at it. I'll Nick know I'm out as well.

    Joel,
Thanks for that offer. I'd love to check it out. Let me know when would be a good time. I'll be around here all weekend. Out of town next weekend.

Cool. Thanks for letting me know Mike! If Joel's swapping out his F-134, maybe you can work out something with him?

Update: I'm now in pusuit of a V6. Just because I haven't done it before doesn't mean I can't do it - right?
Joel - I'll be wanting to check out your swap sometime.

Mike - I didn't do the swap in mine, but if you want to see a six in a flattie I'm just around the corner from you in San Marcos. Send a PM if you want to come by.

Billy, the words of Lt. Frank Drebin come to mind:
"Yeah, the truth hurts doesn't it - sure, not as much as jumping on a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts all the same." :D :D

Go to www.thunderproducts.com and check out the Dial-A-Jet. I put one on my f-head's Carter carb. It helped clean up the lean midrange I had. I'm using an air'fuel ratio meter to tune it. You can dial in the amount of extra fuel the carb gets without having to change the float position which is nice for the steep hills. The extra fuel it adds is also pre-atomized which prevents the flat spots due to too much fuel. I loved these things on my snowmobile so I put it on my Willys.

Looked into the Weber swap on my F head.
It still uses the stock smallish intake with an adapter.
As stated you wont gain much, it'll look cool though.
    I jumped ship for a V6 myself.
    Sorry Billy. ;)

I read the Dial-A-Jet info on their website. Interesting. Which model did you use for your Willys? I wonder if this can be used with other larger carbs or if it's generally intended for bikes, atvs & other small carbs? May not matter to me since I'm no planning to go V6. (Also dreaming about EFI).

What's a gander? Something to do with geese I think. Just kidding. I'll be in touch - I'd like to check out your swap. Thanks.

I used just a single kit and ordered up a larger jet for it as well. Running the smaller (factory installed) jet seemed to be the best for me. I tried the larger jet but could only run it on the leanest setting otherwise it was too much fuel. You can run more than one kit on any carb if you have the room. I have the snorkel installed with a filter on the end that runs through the firewall and under the dash. Get the Pro-MOunt kit to avoid having to attach it with a plastic zip tie. I initially put it on to cure a bad midrange lean spot that I couldn't tune out with the carb adjustments. It cleaned that up and will also be my way of adding additional fuel if I ever get around to finishing a belt drive turbo setup. The Dial-A-Jet is nice too because you can richen up the mixture throughout the RPM range without affecting idle mixture because it only pulls fuel while under load. I don't think that a Dial-A-Jet will make your f-head any more powerful overall but it will add fuel if you're lean and will only add it under load. Throttle response increase is very noticeable on snowmobiles due to adding preatomized fuel in place of raw fuel (you lean out needles and main when running it on a sled) but I didn't notice that so much on the f-head.
