So I had my dad look for Hammerite at Home Depot, as someone said they had found it there, and we don't have one locally. This was the reply:

He thought this only applied to the rattle cans, though, you might still be able to pick up gallons and quarts. But if you want Hammerite in a rattle can, Jamestown is about the only place to go....

I buy it over the counter here locally and they actually have 3 qts on hold of smooth gloss black for me now. They have a display set up with several colors and the hammered or smooth finish. Bought them out of the smooth, my brother got some and a friend of mine and they ordered more within a couple of weeks.

I picked up six rattle cans from Eastwoods a few months back. Its not listed in their catalog but they do carry it....part no 10082Z @ 11.99 per can........phone 1-800-343-9353

Seems to be a very durable thick coat spray paint......

I went to a local paint store called "the paint bucket", and the manager special-ordered a case (6 rattle cans) @ $7.60 per can. I would check with local paint stores to see if they can order it. I don't have to pay shipping, and it is quite a bit less than Eastwood or the other online retailers. Every color was available in smooth/hammered finishes by the rattle can or quart.

Locally, Daytona Beach, a local automotive paint store carries it and a regular paint store carries it. Color availability varies. For bigger jobs you can buy it by the quart and spray it through a gun thinned with Xylene (sp?). I'm spraying my floor with it. First coat in silver and the next in black. Different colors makes it easier to to see how even the coverage is.
