buyers beware...

i bought a comp cam oddfire 260H camshaft and it finally showed up from PAW.

now, i know the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2, and so the cam should reflect that, with just alittle more weird stagger than a normal camshaft since its oddfire and not an even 60 degree firing spacing.
i got the cam in and checked it out, and # 1, #2 are fine, the intake and exhaust are seperated by a certain distance equal on both, then i got to #3. it has 1 lobe on 1 side, and the other lobe 180 degrees out. then on #4, the intake came before the exhaust (or which ever...) which is backwards from the other 3. 5 and 6 are fine..but the middle 2 are wack.

i am SO glad i looked at it before i decided to stick it...holy cow, might have backfired through the carb and into my face improving my looks...i would hate being pretty...

anyway..trust goes along way considering it is comp cams..but double checking beats everything..
(i am going to be embarrassed if this is correct when i call comp cams and light into em tomorrow...but i truly have never seen a camshaft with lobes 180 out from the other..)

 

well, i looked at a 4.3 chevy and it looks the same, so maybe its me who is wack..i am going to pull the cam today or tomorrow from my oddfire and check it against what i bought just to make sure..
