Don't try this at home

I couldn't wait for the new fuel pump, after rebuilding the carburetor, so I crafted this to start the engine. It's a pick-up tube from a portable boat tank. As the carb draws fuel I top it off with the beer bottle. Not my beer brand to eliminate any confusion. Jeep runs surprisingly well, needs a tune-up.

Once the fuel pump comes in I'll actually put it in gear.

 

Old trick. We normaly use gear lube bottles with the bottom cut off and tape them to the windshield frame. Gives you a little bit more fuel.

 

Wow, a Jeep that runs on beer??????

I think gas will be cheaper though, even at todays prices!
