I did post this on JU but thought I may have better luck getting good info on here... I was about to order my PSC Rock Knockers from DPG ...The PSC website lists a set for a CJ/YJ with TJ flares which would work for me but... they list it for '76 and up CJ's. While I was on the phone with DPG they called PSC and they did not know if they would fit. Does anyone on here run the PSC Rockers on a '75 and under CJ5? Does anyone know if the body mounts changed after '75? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :flag:

3"x4" steel angle. 1/4" thick. Have the metal yard cut it to the length you need. Lot cheaper then what you are looking at. And you can get creative like I did. A friend of mine made these for me. The "rolled" edge is actually a sectioned piece of 1.5" 1/4" DOM that was welded to the angle down the entire length of the piece. To install brace the pisec against the body of the jeep, drill holes through the rocker and bolt in place. Make sure you do one bolt at a time for a good snug fit.

Very stout and as you can see work very well. The front and rear axles are at full droop and barely resting on the rocks. all 4 tires are off the ground. The entire weight of the jeep is resting on the transfer case skid plate and that right rocker.

This one shows how they were put together.

Kyle, some body mounts DID change between '75 and 76.
76 was the first year where the frame rails got a bend... just behind the door, the frame rails are farther apart from the door to the back of the rig than they were pre-76.

I'm not sure how this would impact the mounting of PSC rails... looking at the write-up on Poison Spyder Customs site, it may mean that the rails will not reach the mount on a pre-76 rig... :?

Yes the frame is drastically different on the 72-75 versus the 76 up. So if the rails you want use the body mounts they will not work on a pre 76 frame. This is why I had mine custom made.
