How diff is an early cj5 frame from an intermediate

    Long story, but someone is willing to give me their early cj5 (v6) frame. I have not seen it yet, but I was told it has no rust or cracks. My jeep/s are intermediates, that need some frame help(rust/cracks). Are the engine mounts the only change I would have to make? Or are the early and intermediates like apples and oranges?

    the early frame is shorter. if you wanted to install a V6, i say go get it, but it will not work without lots of work for your 6cyl, or v8

    Dan forgot to add that you will need shorter fenders and hood to use the early frame.

    Do early cj5s use the same frame as 2As 3As and 3Bs?
