Jim Allen's "Illustrated Buyer's Guide", pg. 79 says this:

"Curb or Shipping Wt. 2,351 lbs (V-6)
    Gross Vehicle Wt. 3,750 lbs"

Not sure what accounts for the diffo. Mebbe 10W-1,500 Wt. oil??

Gross vehicle weight is the total maximum weight of the jeep including gear, passengers and driver.

Obvious from Mike’s reply but I thought I would add it anyways. Curb or shipping weight is a fueled automobile with standard equipment but without cargo or passengers.

I just had mine weighed last week. With the winch, spare tire and carrier, roll bar, and 31x10.50 tires on 7' steel wheels she weighed in at 2842Ibs. Thats without the top. Mike

No Mike(silly boink) I will not be shipping it.

I bought an enclosed car hauler (race trailer)
To store the jeep and Quads in.
I just wanted to make sure I was not going to over load it too bad

    Trailer has 2 -3500# axles

    Trailer weighs 2600-2800#
    Jeep around 2500-3000#
    2 Quads just under 500# ea.= About 1000#

So total load including trailer will be under 6800#

So it looks like the load will be OK
And I should have enough axle and spring left over to cary a hammer and a sleeping bag.

You will have to take that up with my wife.(Good LUCK)
    Jeep was her dads
He is gone (14 years now)
And I had to buy it as a basket case back from another family member.
Who held it for allmost 10 years
And then there is the $$$$$$ to get it into the condition it is in now.

So go ahead and ask her (ROFLMAO)

    (HA-HA)

    I love this little 5.
Short of some large hardship I will keep it

    Nice try though.
