supertop install question

for the besttop super top the instruction sheet states that the distance between the top of the windshield and the inside of the top body lip on the back (over the tail lights) should be 69.5 inches. the closest i can adjust the windshield on my cj is 70" almost xactly. is this close enough for a good fit or will it cause problems later during and after installation?

the front edge of the roll cage stops it from getting any closer.

 

That should be ok, it will make the top tighter and it may make the already present gap in the door to windshield frame a little more pronouned but it should still work.

 

so i would have to add some type of "weather stripping" there to keep water and wind out anyway?
