How do I get this off?????

Hey guys I'm stupid, need help please. Can I just pull on the wire to remove the temp sender? I can jigle the wire and coolant flows out. I soaked the nut in PB overnight and it ain't turning. Any ideas? :?

Need to remove dash and the temp sender cable isn't helping. Those arnt reverse threads going into the intake manifold are they?

 

You should be able to tug the inner part out, but be careful as it could break very easily, it has probably been in so long that its rusted or oxidized together.

 

with the outer nut removed, the cable and sensor should pull out from the adapter.
must be corroded
don't give up

 

If you haven't already you may want to drain some antifreeze from the radiator first.

 

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I was stressing big time on this as worse case scenerio I'd be needing a new intake manifold if I busted my original one by excessive force or hot wrench. As no parts shop had one, I opted for another approach. I called dad and with his high tech tool assortment of 2 inch breaker bar pipe, 5 gallon plastic can of Harbor Freight tools he removed it in 2 minutes. Dad is the man!

Craftsman ain't high on the list anymore...
