L-134 Pilot Bushing ID?

    I was having real problems trying to get the tranny in then found out the ID of the bushing is the same or smaller than the input shaft.

    How much over sized is the pilot bushing ID over the input shaft? I get .625" OD on 2 different shafts.

    According to an earlier post by McRuff (IIRC), 3-4 thou diameter clearance.

    OK, a friend in the shop just reamed the ID of the bushing to .629". Does that sound like a good clearance hole? Maybe .6295" by the feel of it on a pin gauge.
