I have a stock 59 CJ5 that I am getting roadable again after sitting for a few years. It has a three knob heater control in the cab. One controls the fan, one controls the air door in the heater core box, and the other has a cable that goes nowhere. This cable, which I believe is labled "Temp", should go to a valve that controls the flow of water to the heater core. I don't have that type of valve on my engine (134). Does anyone know where that valve mounts? I'm guessing it mounts on the rear of the block where one of the heater hoses attaches.

I did find a "Maunal Heat Shutoff Valve" at Walcks, but there is no picture. Does this sound like the right part? Also, is there a bracket that the cable needs to mount too, or does it just mount to the valve?

    Thanks.

Valve on my 61 mounted at the front left head bolt, IIRC. Bracket for valve was same as what held the cable?? Must have tossed mine; it ain't in the box of stuff where other JEEP stuff lands. Walck's is pretty helpful if you call..........
