so what have i gotta myself into?!?

    first off id like to say hi to every1 , ive been a member for awhile but never posted (been reading archives, great info ) i recently bought a 67 cj-5 , but much to my surprise ( and unknowing eyes) the PO put a 72 body on it and somewhere down the road it received a 304 v-8 but everything else seems to be right. I was told by the PO that the 67 body wouldnt properly fit over the 304 is this true? and would i just be better off leaving it this way? The bodys in decent shape and after a little work everything seems to fine mechanicly(sp?) its gunna be a semi trail rig ( will use on and off road) so i want it to look good also. Alright thanks for any info and once again great site has enlightened me alot

    Why bother swapping the tubs?

    There's not much difference in them at all really. I'm not sure what the PO meant by it wouldn't fit with a 304. It would.

    I'd just leave it unless you need to swap the tub for some reason.

    Unless he was including the front clip in "tub" - being that the OE 304 Jeeps had the longer nose.

    Welcome aboard , I know the shrould should be differnt . In 71 they added about 4 inches to the front fender right yall? Like boyink said the tubs should be the same. Did he move the gas tank to the rear also ?
