Looking for pics of power steering cooler mounting. I could put it on the radiator but i have to move an electric fan back and i think that maybe a problem. Just looking for creative wasy to monut it. I got a small Tranny cooler to use as a power steering cooler.

Naw, now i wish i had one, it would be much much easier. i have been looking at it more now, and i may just mount it to the front of the radiator, i can space the front electric fan out to clear it

Go purchase the smallest trans cooler you can get and mount it to the front of the radiator. That is what Scott did on the Zuki to keep the PS quiet and cool. Should be enough room between the grill and the radiator to fit and it will keep it out of harms way.

I finally got one Coby :) After feeling the heat last time it was a mission of mine

I got the small one i think about 10x5 inches. it will fit nice. i was thiknig bout those fancy setups with the seperate fan for the cooler, but it will work fine in front. Do they weigh enoguh that i shouldnt use the supplied zip tie things to mount them like that? I did the fan with them and that ripped the radaitor pretty good after time.

I would make a sheet metal mount that uses the radiator mount bolts to hold the cooler on. I have never had any luck with those zip tie things. they always rub a small hole in the radiator over time. Even on the Mustang it rubbed through.

I didnt think i would need one, but running Tellicop last year and my gear box was very very hot. never noticed until Coby was checking the rig he was in, so i decided to check mine and i couldnt believe the heat it generated. So before this octobers run i am getting it fixed.

You can see mine stuck to the rad in this pic.

I'd second the idea about making a special mount if you can. I threw mine on right before a trip and used those hooky zip tie thingies, but when I get a chance I'll redo it.

They are indeed necessary. You don't think you use your steering that much, but when did you ever wheel a trail that was straight? Most trails I wheel are twisty and require lots of manuevering. Coupled with large tires and a welded front while driving at a snails pace the steering will develop lots of heat.

Hey Coby, could you get a pic of the zuki setup. not sure what you mean about makeing a mount with sheetmetal. This little cooler has no real "sides" to it, just open fins.
