I added new points to my 67 V6, when cranking, the points never touch the lobs. Or is it possible that the lobs could be worn down? Is the bracket that the points sit on is that supposed to move.. Thanks.

    touch ??

the Delco will have a small metal window in the cap you slide up to make adjustments. But you still have to start with them on the high spot of any lobe.
The Presto you have to remove the cap.
as mentioned above, set the point arm on the high spot of any lobe; then make your adjustment.
the Presto points, you will have to loosen 1 hold down screw, then turn the adjustment screw which is offset so the points will move in/out for adjustment; the points fit down over this screw, through the bracket; yes the bracket will move during adjustment. Then tighten the hold down screw.

to get the oints to sit on the high point of a dist lobe, rock/push the Jeep in gear till accomplished, or in neutral, use a remote starter button to bump the dist lobes around
