Spindle Nut

    When I went to take the spindle nuts off front axle they were barely on there hand tight. Is this normal? :? Doesn't seem right to me. :AMC:

    If they are to tight they burn up the bearings.

    They should only be finger tight.

    I think there's a spec in the later manuals - tighten them to X ft-lbs, then back off N turns. I've repacked front wheel bearings many times, and I just tighten as much as I can with the bare socket, and back off a little.
