    Alternater location ?

I just ordered a power steering conversion kit for my 74 CJ-5 from Car Steering Wholesale. It looks like all I need to scrounge for is a pump mnt. and a two-groove pully.

Question: did the alt. mnt. on the right or left side originally? Mine is mounted on the driver's side with what looks to be a home-made bracket.
    P.S. it's a 258 six

    Thanks, Jim

My truck is PS on the drivers side, alt opposite. I think that either will work - just depends on what you can find.

Thanks a million, Tim !! Just what I needed. Looks just like the mounting bracket I got at the jeep graveyard today :) You dont happen to have a pic. of your alt. mnt. do you?? I also got one of these today off the same vehicle (198_ cherokee) hope I'm as lucky with it.

It's hard to get the right parts when you don't know what your looking for

    Thanks again, Jim
