    Hi People,

    Just wondering if anyone has tried out the new Trailmax consoles? Here is a link to them on JCWhit. Says it will fit the old CJs, wonder what kind of braket it has to work around the seats? :?

    Note...I *never*, under any circumstances, believe any application guide published by JCW....

    I'm going the "modified ammo-box" route for my center console...

    I'm current refering to all aftermarket products alegedly made for a pre-76 Jeep as 'FAF' products... it means F$%k All Fits. Get the welder out my friend...

    The after market consoles I tired don't fit my 75 CJ5 either. Better off making one.

    Just out of curiosity, modified how? I had a plan to cut the top off one and the bottom from another and weld them together to make a really deep on to stick between the seats...

    Not completely sure yet..but I'm thinking:

    - Change the double-latches to a single latch and hinge.
    - Pad the lid somehow, hope to use my bunged-up seat upholstery for a matching "tuck and roll" look...;)
    - dome lights or conversion van lights on it front and rear to light up the floor areas.
    - 1 or 2 12V outlets for plugging in cell phones, etc.
    - Adding some Tuffy drinkholders front and rear.
    - Paint the inside white for visibility, maybe an interior light.
    - The way the box will mount on my rollcage framework...I might hinge the entire box and build another storage compartment underneath, between the rollcage and floor.
