Okay i installed and electric fuel pump today in my jeep.. old stock one wasnt pumping right... and i put a fuel pressure regualtor on it which is what everyone has said to do and it dies like it isnt getting enough fuel or it is flooding itself out.. but if i take the regulator off the line and ust have the pump it runs, starts and idles fine.. do you guys think its okay to run it without a pressure regulator?
also what should i do about the spot where the old fuel pump is iin the side of the engine??

You could install a (temorary) tee in the line and hook up a pressure gauge. I've done this but only with fuel injection type high pressure systems. Might work with your setup.
There is a lower and upper limit to your fuel pressure. If it's low enough without the regulater you're good to go. I understand that a lower than normal pressure can be a help during trail rides with steep angles.
I'm thinking higher than normal could be a danger.
