V6 Starting question?

    My V6 won't start, when cranking... it will crank a few seconds, then abruptly stop, then start cranking again, any clues? :AMC:

    sounds like the starter has been cooked. before going any farther, i recommend getting a service manual (any will due in a pinch). you might need new battery cables as well. you will need either the manual or a GOOD COLOR copy of the wiring harness to find the problem.

    Would the timing change after re-wiring the Jeep? :AMC:

    Since you mentioned you rewired the Jeep, how about some more background info. Did it do that before you rewired, or did you rewire it before even trying to start it? New purchase that needed work first? Exactly what did you replace?

    I put on new battery cables, cap and rotor.
