I am going to try and crank the 225 in my Tux before taking the tub off the chassis to see what condition the engine is in. I have a temp gas can with electric fuel pump to carb. I have 12v from bat to a switch then to the coil and then to dist. I can't seem to get fire to the plugs, is something wrong with the wiring? Do I have to go through the ballast just to run for a few minutes? Thanks,

    Jess

Do you have a ground from the block to the frame.

As long as you have 12 volts at the coil and fuel in the carb and the starter cranks it will start. Check the points.
