    I recently acquired a Tuxedo park cj5. It has the usual tuxedo park chrome pieces. (chrome ft bumper, chrome windshield hinges, hood emblems etc.) It's quite the rust bucket, but the price was right. It even came with a new, original JEEP Lt. body side panel w/the gas tank cut for the under seat gas tank. I have the vin. # and would appreciate it if someone could decode it for me. The vin.is 8322A17328. I'm most curious as to what year it is. Thanks in advance, Kevin.

    I think if you do a search for VIN numbers you'll find plenty of information that could help you narrow down the year here.

    8322 = Tux.

    Production figures and VIN info for Kaiser aren't as easy to find as Willys, but I looked up the S/N sequence on one of the vender internet sites, and found this:

    83 = CJ5, 4WD
    22 = Tuxedo Park MKIV
    A = V6-225
    Last 5 digits = Sequential S/N

    My 66 Cj6 Tux Park is about 7000 units before yours - I'd guess yours as a 67, or maybe a late 66. In 68, the numbering pattern seems to change completely.
