Hi all. I have a 67 CJ-5 with a 225. I have an opportunity to get an 88 Cherokee dirt cheap. What I was wandering is will the power steering componants from the Cherokee work in the CJ and will the seats from the Cherokee fit in the CJ? I know there will be some fab work with both projects, but does this sound feesable, or should I try a different route?
    Thanks

With a little fabrication all of what you asked will work.

The XJ (cherokee) seats have a really wierd seat base. Fitting them in a cj would require a lot of work. I would think you could make use of the powersteering box. The PS pump has a crazy bracket that would be very hard to use on a differn't application. Just buy set of aftermarket CJ seats. You can nice ones for about $100 each.
