Any suggestions on what I should use. Looked at local Pep Boys and they had Accel but all were either set up with 90 deg boots or universal and never really had any luck with those. So thanks for any suggestions.

Never had any issues using the custom fit Accel wires myself.

MOP used NAPA brand or whatever they had that was sheep IIRC.

What custom fit application would work, the ones I was looking at were the universal sets straight boots and 2 styles of cap connectors.Didnt have proper crimping tool and would need to grease the heck out of wire to get boots on in 1st place with some dielectric grease and where do I come with that.

:? They were just Accel custom fit wires. They came with dielectric grease in the package. 90* or straight spark plug boots. Also had electronic or points cap connections as I recall. Electronic is/was alot easier to get to sit on the cap just due to the design.

Crimp tool that comes with 'em is adequate at best. I got pretty proficient at using it.

Still, I'll probably just buy a set of plug wires for a 231 and be done with it. ;)

Buick 231, plug wires don't care if it's OF or EF. Just custom lengths and the block is the same.

I bought a set of plug wires from NAPA - I went for a set for a 350 SB so I would have a choice on the lengths and a couple spares.
When I got them home and checked the resistance it was more than the old plug wires that I got off a car in Texas where I got the HEI. These old wires must be at least 10 years old and possibly a lot older.
Anyway, I took the NAPA wires back.
Still want to change them out because the old wires could have a higher resistance when under a load. Maybe I'll take the ohm meter to the parts store . . . .

any of those applicatoins will work just make sure that the diameter is 8mm or larger to handle the big voltage.
