OK. I have searched and am more confused then before. There is a lot of talk about V6 PCV valves but not 134's. I need what I believe is a PCV valve (circled red in pic and that is not my CJ's engine). I did not have one installed by the PO and did find one locally but it is missing the internal guts. I cannot find one anywhere let alone a used one. Is it possible to match one up from some other vehicle and would anyone have a part number for a replacement?

I'd swear mine was on the other side of the motor. I found a new one at the chrysler dealership, but that was 10 years ago.

On the later F-134 engines with smog controls and alternators the valve was was on the drivers side. All F-134's before that the valve was located where the one in your picture is. I got a new valve from Walch's just last year since my valve on the FC-150 was missing its guts too.

As far as I know I am only aware of it being on the driver's side. As far as Walck's goes, the discontinued selling them due to defective lots. Still looking. Anyone have a good used one?

My mistake I meant the passenger side as pictured in the 1977 jeep universal shop manual. If you can't get a new replacement then there are a number of parts suppliers who can get you a "take-off" from a used vehicle. These valves do not wears out and every F-134 engine I believe had one.

    we'll I'll be.....
learn something new here all the time
based on Bruces response above, I went out again at looked at the F4 I have here.
I had looked on the drivers side; that's where my flatfender had mine  and all early engines I have seen
on this engine (CJ5) it's on the pass side, right at the fitting in the intake
threaded on one side, hose fitting on the other.
    boy do I feel
gonna go give it a shake, see if it's good
there is one on ebay BTW; search: Jeep PCV valve

You will have a very hard time finding a replacement as these were a serviced item not a replaced part like a modern PCV. They are made to come apart inside there is a ball valve and a spring. you take it apart and just clean it in solvent.

They really have little to do with emissions or Cal. (althought they do have that side effect) Thier use dates back to WWII when they were used as part of the waterproofing on military jeeps. The Vent tube would allow water straight into the crankcase casing a quick end to travel.

I know a number of people who have 134L's In CJ-2A and 3A's that have the PCV instead of the vent tube. It was more of an option on the CJ's.

I would suggest looking for one through a used Jeep part dealer and then just clean it up.

In the mean time. Try one for a 65-68 mustang with a 200 L6 they are a straight through design (might be a 90 degree) any way all you need is the minor spring pressure to help moderate the flow so it doesn't pickup oil. Plumb it in with some rubber hose temperaraly.

There has been a lot of talk about these on a Yahoo Willys group.

That's the one I need. Threaded on both ends. Unless someone has the guts. I have the shell.

I've got two spares at home. I'll check tonite if they're the type you need. One is from a '56, the other from mid '60's so I should have what you need :)

Yup, that's the pcv valve. It shouldn't go bad -- just need cleaning every decade or so...

Some of jeeps didn't have them-- just a tube sticking straight down.

Keep an eye out for someone parting out an f head engine. They are never in demand, so you ought to be able to get it on the cheap.
