91 3.8 buick to 4L60 transmission

    i have a 91 3.8 motor and it runs strong and very well, i want to mount it to my 4L60 transmission, i know that the 4L60 has the chevy pattern witch is a 90 degree pattern, now is my 3.8 a 60 or a 90 and if its a 60 is there an adapter to mount it to my 4L60. i have a 4.3 motor that was mounted to my 4L60 but it needs lower end work and has more milage than the 3.8, thanks jason.

    If its a 3.8 Buick with the front mounted disrtibutor its a 90* block.

    FWD is 60* pattern isn't it?

    FWD mounts different too I thought.

    We've discussed this extensively here previously...

    and there is a 60* 4L60E, does yours have the removable bellhousing?

    what vehicle came with a 4L60 60* pattern and i will check the tranney this week but my guess is no it does not, jason.

    Someone was. Could be a big demand for it I'd guess.
