    Permatex ultra black or ultra copper for high heat works every time.

    Actually I use Hylomar along with a gasket. Never had a leak yet. Great stuff since it never hardens. It's kind of like.... Smurf snot?

    Sometimes I'll glue the gasket to say the cover with the gorilla snot. then use the Hylomar on the axle houseing this way it is removable.
