Are Halogen bulbs brighter than original sealed beam?

    I always hated my headlights, with my eyes i need a bit brighter. I am thinknig bout getting those replacement lenses and running Halogen bulbs. I am wondering if the Halogen is a step above the original sealed headlights the jeep uses. If not i may have to go bling ( :( ) and get the xenon to get a bit brighter, but i just hate that blue light.

    Yes danny, the halogen are brighter.....
    You still don't have halogen lamps in the Bus??????

    no, they are off the shelf regular bulbs. i could do the relay trick but i am being lazy now. Good, if the halogens are brighter then i dont have to go fast and furious and have dazzling blue lights on the bus :)

    Halogens are not only brighter but then have a cooler light temp (MORE white then amber/yellow) you will notice an improvement. They also have slightly better lenses which will flatten the light so that less goes up in the air and more stays on the road. Kind of an Oval shape to the beam not much but every little bit helps.

    You talking Halogen sealed beam or H4 conversion Dan?

    Billy has the Sylvania Silverstar Sealed beams. Big improvement.
