My 69 CJ has the dual master cylinder. It has at least three pressure switches I have found, BUT I can't find the wires and switch that activate the brake lights.
    Any help out there?

Your Jeep should have two switches. One near the master cylinder, and the other farther back along the frame rail on the driver side, IIRC....

Yes, they are there but there are no wires and I can't find any loose that look like they should go there.
    Where are the wires?

There should be a wire bundle running on top of the frame rail above the MC.

Yes, thanks there is a bundle with Three wires that run to the tail and brake. but no connectors. The only other thing is the micro brake. Could that double as a brake light switch?

OK, I've figured out the wires to the rear. But there is not any connectors to the brake switches. Under the floor board there was a lever switch that I took off and I think was the brake light. I think it quit working and one wire coming to it was disconnected somewhere. the other wire is hot.
I suspect the brake lights would not go off one day and they cut or disconected the non hot wire. When I tested the lever switch it was on all the time.
So I'm just going to rewire the brake lights using one of the pressure switches. I just need to find connectors for the pressure switch.
You would not believe all the wires the go no where hanging under the dash. :(
But I'm getting the essentials working: Horn, turn indicators, head lights, one parking light so far in front. I am a good mechanic but stink as an electrician.

That's one of the only sad things about owning an older Jeep - You get enough owners, and it's a sure bet one will have monkey-wired the thing. I've had my 3A for over 10 years, and still don't have the wiring 100% back to how it should be. I'm only the third civilian owner, but #2 was a whiz at chopping wires, twist-and-tape splices, and bypassing circuits that maybe only had a corroded connection or a loose fuse.

Amen, This guy soldered and twisted wires 4 times to go 6 inches at the rear tail light. I couldn't believe it.
I have a pile of stuff I've taken off and under the dash and lots more to go.
Everything added that needed a hot had a single fuse and ran to the battery. It looked like a spagehtti dinner :?
I've put a 10 fuse block hot under the dash and will add another that is keyed.
What a fun hobby we've picked!! Actually I'mhaving a ball.

    situation normal afu :)

enjoy the journey grasshopper. it is a well worn path, the way of wiring, that many of us have travelled. you will see many strange, wonderous and curious things along the way, but you and your cj will be the better for having had the experience.

remember to live the path, my son, stopping occasionally to smell the insulation.
