lockin hubs

    i just was out lookin at my 63cj5 and it doesn't have lockin hubs on it?? Is this the way it is supposed to be or did PO do something to it??

    Prolly has Drive flanges.....which is Ok.....Can you get a pic?

    Yup Flanges!''

    They keep the front axles engaged full time.

    You can replace them with hubs if you like.

    Oh, and, or but, If you use the Jeep on the street much, I'd put lockouts on it, just to keep from turning the front axles/ gears all the time....

    Oh yeah, don't throw away the flanges when you get your hubs.

    so if i should buy lockouts then which ones do you all recommend??? and thanks for all the valued info .....Lynn was right you are a friendly helpful bunch :beer:

    I'd buy the Warn Premiums.... But other people have done fine with other brands....

    I have Warn premiums on the Jeepster and Superwinch on the 3B. The Warn hubs are definitely better quality. That being said, I haven't had any trouble with the Superwinch hubs.

    I've used the Mile Marker and Warn both have worked well for me without problems.
