Going forward with my plans on swapping the lines and steering pump on the jeep. With the new AN fittings and hose i want to know what kind of pressure the pump will put out so i can get the propeer hose.

also do you need crimpers for putting the AN ends on?? It doesn seem so but i am unsure how they asmble to seal the hose end.

Usually at the high side 1500 PSIG.. but average I'd say is 1200 PSIG or so.. Dunno about the AN fittings have not used any yet but I will.. for the same setup you have going on..

HHHMMMM... i found the hose rated at about 400 PSI, not anything close to 1000, so i have to see if the AN fittings will handle this :(

You can use whatever on the low-pressure return side of the system, but you've got to use special high-pressure, Teflon lined hose on the high pressure side. The hose is a bitch to build, even compared to regular braided line, and in most cases you need to use matched components, ie Earl's fittings with Earl's line, Parker fittings with Parker lines, etc. I mixed different fittings and lines and wound up with power steering fluid all over the ceiling and walls of my garage the first time I fired my engine. .

I wound up using Parker stuff, but here's some links to Earl's. It's excellent stuff and I've used it before. You'll also need to get adapters to take your fittings from -6AN to whatever your box and pump fittings are.

Thanks Dummy!! I was looknig at the earls stuff in the summit catalog and it looks to be the highest PSI rating, i would defiantely keep with their line of prducts to match. Trying to clean up the engine compartment. currently i have a custom power steering line but it doestn fit well. plus going to add a cooler in line sicne Tellico made my gear box REALLY HOT :(
