Does anyone know if a T-176 will bolt to a 225 Bellhousing. Currently I have a GM 151/T176/Dana 300 Combo in my 82 CJ-5 and am switching to a 71 Buick 225. Even better would be if the 225 would bolt to the 151 Bellhousing, doubt it will. Don't have it out yet. Just trying to get everything that I am going to need. Thanks Again.

Nope, the 2.5 L used the GM 60* V6 Bolt Pattern, not a BOP pattern (even though it was a Pontiac engine).

GM 151 used standard chevy pattern. Later Jeep 2.5 used 60* pattern

My Fiero and S10 w/ a GM 151 used a Chevy 60* V6 pattern. Not the same for Jeep?

That seems surprising to me that GM would make two patterns?

I have one on my garage floor that came out of my 81 many years ago it's chevy. They were used in those days in the chevy monza and vega but also in the citation x cars the front wheel drive models indeed were 60* IIRC. Thats what gm used in the 6000 and fiero. Indeed in the S10 as it came along was 60*again IIRC but the ones in the CJ that were bought from gm were standard chevy as so in the monza and vega until they were phased out early to mid eightys.

If memory serves me, the 176 uses the same input bearing retainer and input shaft as Ford. If this is the case, then adapting it to your V6 using an early bellhousing(short one with adapter removed)can be done. Turn down the bearing retainer to fit the GM hole. Turn the input shaft to fit the GM piliot bearing. Modify the bottom of the bellhousing to take the mounting bolts. The cluch disk splines are 1/16"too large, so you will want to replace it(I didn't replace mine, has been running 10 years with no problems. But can't recomend this to others in good consience)I have done this conversion using a Ford T18A to a stock early bop bellhousing with good results.
