    Another heater question

This is the stock heater I bought from Duke. The motor has two wires capped off together (green and red). Then two single wires...yellow and black. I am trying to test the motor mounted to the firewall before I wire to the switch (vacuum switch with the low, high, and off button for the fan). I am assuming the ground is from the actual assy mounted to the chassis (as found from previous posts). Assuming that one wire is for lo and the other for high, shouldn't I be able to attach a 12V wire to one wire and it should power up, right? Well, it is not working.

Is it the motor toast or am I missing something? OR are the two capped wires(green and red) that are together wrong?

    Thanks

Don't know if this will help but the heater in my wagon has a black wire off of the motor for ground, and a red and a yellow wire for the 2 speeds. Also it's original, FWIW. When hooked up right you should get 2 different speeds from a hot wire to the 2 different wires.

Have you tried grounding the heater case and putting 12 vts to the loose wires
