Hey I have a 67 cj5 with the standard ross steering. I would like to lift it but The bell crank will be a problem...so I saw a 48' for sale with what looked like a dropped bell crank any body know if thats what a 48' came with or is it aftermarket...and if it is aftermarket...Where do I buy one. I just spent 1.5 hours looking at 34 pages of links. Thanks in advance.

It can be done, I did it but I swapped to a saginaw style steering before I ever drove it with the dropped bell crank. As far as I know hter is no kit for it but i drilled out the rivets and popped the bell crank off the cross member then used it for a pattern to cut two exact shapes from 1" plate then drilled the three holes to match and welded it all together... It woulda worked (I think) but I went to the saginaw type..

If you do a moderate lift the bell crank as is won't be a problem. 2.5" lift works fine.
