Has anybody used lifted wrangler springs spring under to get lift and better ride? My hangers and shackles are shot and need replacing anyway. Lift kits are pretty much the same either way.

I did this conversion about 2 years ago and have been 100% satisfied. It really wasn't that hard, and I fabed all my spring and shackle hangers. For the front I moved the spring mount back 1 rivet (so the forward hole in the new spring hanger is in the rear hole of the original) and the front forward the same distance. The spring mount to shackle hanger mount is 44.75" (straight line, center to center) on mine, but my shackle angle is just a less than 90* so maybe 44.25" would be better :? .

I thought about using the Rubicon Express 4.5" springs, but talked with a guy who used to work for RE years ago and he told me that they are nice springs, but the Deavers, in his (highly qualified) opinion are probably the best out there. I get about 12" of articulated travel out of these springs, maybe a little bit more if my shackle angles were better. And they ride nice too.
