Hey guys. Ran into a little problem last night. While trying to remove the clutch pedal from the pivot, the bolt on the bottom at the pivot broke at the nut. Ok, no biggy, that's out of the way, time to turn it loose.... nope, broke at the head, too. So now I have a bolt with no ends.... To paraphrase Bender, "Am I boned?"

So this is the bolt that tightens the pedal to the shaft? If so, I'd start hitting it with penetrant, and after it soaked a while try to drive a chisel or something in to open the end of the clutch pedal up. Or try driving the bolt out...it shouldn't be threaded into anything, just rusted in.

Okies, I'll give that a try. I wasn't sure if if threaded into the part at all or just the nut. I had tried driving it out last night withough any success, but I didn't try too hard because I wasn't sure about the threading situation.

grind it flush and center punch it as close to the center as you can and drill a small 1/8" hole and drill progressively larger holes until you hit an edge, from there you should be able to work it out with some old school hammering, chiseling and pliar wrenching..

If you have a set of 'easy outs' drill and hook it with a good bite (I have used old taps too) to give you something to pull with as well.
